5 Amazing Facts About The A9

  1. Approximately 32,000 tonnes of freight (lorry cargo) are estimated to use the A9 every day.  That’s equivalent to nearly 6500 elephants.
  2. The A9 spans over 22000 hectares, that’s 30000 football pitches.
  3. The highest point of the A9 is 460m above sea level at the Drumochter pass.
