Parent/Carer Support Group information

NHS/Youth Health Service are are excited to share with you their Glasgow City parent/carer peer support group, which forms part of our family wellbeing approach. Currently hosted at Maryhill Health and Care Centre, every Thursday, 6pm to 7.30pm, the group is facilitated by Health Improvement and Parentline staff. For more information please click on the link below:  https://youtu.be/HU30smFa0ro and see attached document by clicking – HERE!

Parents/carers are supported on a range of issues impacting them and their families.  The ethos of family well-being through the group is to: Think family; Get the whole picture; Find support that works for everyone.

The group runs at the same time as the Youth Health Service and Teen Triple P which parents/carers can also access as well as one-to-one support from Parentline for themselves or their family.

Through the peer support element parents/carers have told us it reduces their isolation and helps them build a support network consisting of other parents and carers. No referrals are needed, parents/carers from Glasgow City are welcome to drop by.

Please share with appropriate partners, parents and carers. For further information please contact Ayisha Azam: ayisha.azam@ggc.scot.nhs.uk
