Digital Learning & Teaching – Mr Scott Adams
Resposible for managing our iPads, which each pupil and teacher is supplied with to support learning and teaching. Training and support staff and pupils to be digitally enabled and engaged in a digital first curriculum. Enacting the connected learning policy and developing further policy to improve the learning. Furthering the digital footprint of the school.
Pupil Voice – Mrs Caitlin Rodgers
Responsibilities center around ensuring that our pupils feel as though they have a voice and their opinions are listened to and heard. In charge of the Pupil Parliament which consists of 4 pupils per year group in the BGE; meeting monthly focusing on a different HIGIOURS theme to discuss what we do well already and how we can improve as a school team. Organise trips to the City Chambers as a part of the Glasgow City Council School Forums where our young people meet with other schools and discuss issues related to our curriculums, community and world!
Embedded in the role is promoting equality within our school and as such I work closely with Alistair our PT for Health and Wellbeing to achieve our Rights Respecting School Award, Level Bronze. Working on our Anti Racism Charter and school suggestion box.
Raising Attainment – Mr Gary Howe
Responsible for leading the school’s work on supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. Organising Supported Study programmes: Study Skills programmes with pupils and parents/ carers; Easter School; managing Mentoring and Interventions. Engage in data analysis and will support the Transitions process to ensure all pupils can maximise their attainment in the Senior Phase.
Developing the Young Workforce – Mrs Sarah Keenan
Working in partnership with school-based staff, such as the FARE worker, the school DYW co-ordinator, PTPC with responsibility for OFA as well as SLT. Working in partnership with local staff, the DYW regional Group, Skills Development Scotland, colleges and universities, apprenticeship providers, and key employers and partners. Ensuring all young people are fully prepared and can make informed decisions about their next steps and that they will be better prepared for the world of work.
