Welcome to the Library

Welcome to the library

The school library contributes to educational attainment and skills for life by providing a welcoming and well-organised environment, in which staff can teach, pupils can learn and reading for pleasure can be enjoyed by all. The librarian, Miss Sferrazzo, is on hand three days a week to ensure that staff and pupils get the most out of their visits.

Every pupil and staff member can borrow or access:

  • A wide range of fiction and non-fiction resources in both print and electronic format.
  • 22 networked computers with ceiling mounted projector.
  • Internet for help with class-based research, homework and for leisure use.
  • Study space
  • Library clubs
  • Careers advice from Skill Development Scotland

Opening Hours

On Tuesday and Fridays the library is available during class time for use by teachers with their classes and by senior pupils who wish to carry out private study.

When the librarian is in school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday,  the library is also available before school, after school (until 4pm) and during lunchtimes and morning interval for book borrowing.
