P5a became forensic detectives and looked at our fingerprints. We had to classify them into whether they were loops, arches or whorls.

This week P5a went outdoors to participate in a procedural writing task where we gave our partners instructions to follow. We also used our creativity, and our environment as inspiration, to make up activities that WE want to do outside.

This week we have been very busy with lots of activities. We visited P1 and P2/1 to read them our Halloween stories. For outdoor learning, we had to deliver maps safely from one place to another in an orienteering activity. And of course we had fun at the Halloween disco!!!

This week we started by simulating the Big Bang and finished by creating rangoli designs for Diwali, the Festival of Lights.

We have been busy outdoors this week with numeracy and our IDL topic RSPB. We were working on our tables for numeracy and we created kebab and apple bird feeders for our RSPB topic. We also joined an online lesson with Codealong with Code Club that helped us to create a ghost game on the Scratch app.
