Our current plans are detailed below:

S5 and S6 classes have been issued with study packs and revision advice a little earlier than planned. They are also being reminded of on-line resources available to support learning.

We have a dedicated study skills blog that can be found here:

We also have our own Study Skills Twitter account @hillheadstudy to share study tips. A range of study resources were also issued at our recent S4-S6 Study Skills Evening and the presentation shown at this event is on the study blog.

All S5 and S6 pupils should have their Scottish Candidate Number (SCN) so that they can sign up for the MySQA app – this app gives updates from the SQA and also SQA results in August.

Departments and faculties are preparing appropriate learning activities for pupils. In the event of school closure then information will be shared via Glow with pupils and also on our school website.

Click here to access a guide to GLOW for parents.

Most pupils are familiar with how to use Glow (our online learning platform) and we re-issued everyone with their login at registration on Friday. Pupils who had forgotten their passwords had the opportunity to have these reset on Friday afternoon. If your child still does not know their login or needs their password reset, they should let a teacher know as all teachers can issue logins and reset passwords.

The following PDF guide provides helpful instructions on getting started with GLOW:

This PDF provides instructions for using Microsoft Teams, an app within GLOW, where learning resources will be uploaded:

We are aware that not all young people will have access to the internet at home and so paper units of work will also be available and we will also issue pupils with jotters and/or paper as required.

Our Parent Council will repost information and signpost families how to access learning activities on their Facebook page for the duration of any school closure.

They also have a Twitter account @HillheadParents
