The boys and girls in Primary 1a have been learning to read! We have been learning how to use the pictures to retell the stories. This week, we have been reading The Library and At School. In class, we have been reading in groups and reading on our own; soon we will be ready to read books with words!!!
Primary 7 have been working hard during their art lessons, producing these stunning stained glass rainforest animals.
Today P7 pupils started their day with a delicious cup of homemade lentil soup! They thoroughly enjoyed tucking into a meal made completely by them from sowing the seeds, harvesting the plants and turning them into a fantastic pot of soup. The children used the potatoes, carrots and onions they harvested and learned how to wash, peel, chop and add the ingredients together to make their tasty morning snack.
This afternoon P7 had a fantastic time working with the Jump2It Team, learning all about Bouncing Back, Health Bodies and The World of Work. They thought about what healthy choices are and how they can make little changes in their lives to help them reach their full potential.
The boys and girls in Primary 1a have been using phonemes to make, read and write CVC words on their magnetic boards during our Active Literacy lessons. We have been remembering to follow the rules of say, make/break, blend, read and write. Look at how clever we all are…
We can’t believe it is our final day and time to come home! We have all had the most amazing week!! From learning new skills, facing our fears and laughing at our teachers fall in water, we have laughed from start to finish! It really has been an experience we will never forget. We are all very tired from our busy week and from last night’s disco!! Here are few highlights
Today P7 thoroughly enjoyed harvesting our home grown vegetables and preparing them for our cooking lesson. We harvested potatoes, onions and carrots. We can’t wait to taste our homemade lentil soup!
Primary 2 have loved hearing the story called The Lighthouse Keeper’s Cat. Our new topic this term is The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. We talked all about who was in the story, where the story took place, what happened in the story and when did the story take place. The children worked cooperatively to create a storyboard.
Primary 4/5 had great fun running 6-8 laps of the school playground to raise money for school funds.
