We have been learning about 3D shapes. The boys and girls in Primary 2 and Primary 3/2 are to use their knowledge of 3D shapes to make their very own 3D shape robot using junk materials. 3D Shape Robots are due in on Thursday the 22nd of September. Here are some examples of some 3D shape robots.
We’ve been learning lots about our topic Australia: We found out about the aboriginal story of how birds got their colours. We made beautiful shadow puppets to tell the story of how the birds changed from black to all the colours of the rainbow.
Look at some of the fantastic homework that was handed in by some of our Primary 3/2’s this week. The boys and girls were asked to use letters from news papers and magazines to make their spelling words. What a brilliant effort! Well done boys and girls!
This term our topic is Tropical Rainforest Primary 7b have been learning all about: What makes a rainforest The 4 layers of the rainforest The huge variety of animals and plants found in a rainforest In addition they have also completed some amazing art work, check out our super line drawings of elephants!
This week in RME we looked at how we say thank you for things we appreciate. We also looked at other world religions and celebrations that allow people to be thankful. Primary 3/4 have started a new programme of study as part of our Phonics and Spelling learning. We have started to use magnetic boards to help us learn our phonemes. We also participate in reciprocal teaching to help us remember our new spelling words.
Please remember to return reading books and reading markers/diaries to school every day. Pupils read their books in class on a daily basis and need the books to help them complete tasks linked to their reading book.

Primary 3/2 have started their new topic all about Pets. Gym day is now a Tuesday and we are excited because a dance tutor is coming in to work with us. We need to remember to pack our gym kits.
