The boys and girls in Primary 1a took part in an NHS ‘Name the Bear’ competition after reading a story called ‘Jenny and the Bear’. We all thought of really fantastic names for the bear including Candy, Jo Jo, Chocolate and Mr Teddy; but we voted for our favourite in the class and Mr Teddy was selected. We got some exciting news at the start of the week when we were

The boys and girls in primary 1a made their own crowns and tiaras at home as part of their ‘Castles’ home learning project. We had the choice of whether we wanted to design a 3D crown or tiara or decorate a 2D version. Today some boys and girls from P1 to P6 got to visit Sky Academy. The children got to visit behind the scenes on an exclusive tour of Sky Studios in Livingston and worked with all the latest technology to make their own TV report in Sky Skills Studios. They made a video report of our Big Balornock Story – Forgetful Hamish, that was created by the whole school as part of our Literacy Week.
In Primary 1a, we have been learning all about welcoming a new-born baby into a family! We all had lots of suggestions for great babies’ names, but we could only choose one and so the name David was selected. We worked with a partner to think about some of the things a new-born baby would need which included a family, a pram, toys, milk and lots more ideas!
