Reading Buddies

This week, we started our new ‘Reading Buddies’ programme with some of the boys and girls from Primary 6. Each of our Buddies read us a story from one of our school story sacks. We really enjoyed listening to the wonderful stories that were chosen for us and we can’t wait for the next visit from our Reading Buddies!

‘Wake Up Shake Up’ Is Here To Stay

Due to the success of our ‘Wake Up Shake Up’ programme as part of health week we will now be running sessions every Wednesday morning from 8.30 – 8.50AM starting on Wednesday the 18th of May 2016. All pupils from Primary 1 -7 are welcome to attend. Parents and carers are welcome to join us too. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

Rookie Rockstar CD’s Available To Order Now!!!

Our very own Rookie Rockstar CD is now available to order from our school office. CD’s are priced at £5. For every CD sold to school will receive £1 back to go towards school funds. Each CD contains 5 original Rookie Rockstar songs, sung by the children of Balornock. The CD cover was also designed by one of our pupils.

Princesses and Castles

This week we started our brand new topic all about Princesses and Castles – ‘There was a Princess Long Ago’. We discussed all the things that we knew at the start of our topic and also thought of questions to explore during our topic. We each created our own Princess and gave them their own unique name!
