Art Club is back!!

What a lot of talented, creative kids we have at Balornock. We had a great time at the first art club this year! Here’s what we were up to: We got nice and messy shading with chalk pastels to make our snowmen look cold and 3D. They look amazing!!! Well done Art Club! Can’t wait for next week!

Dancing Showcase

Well done to our team of dancers who competed in the festival at Springburn Academy. We were all very proud of you all. An amzing routine performed to a very high standard. The group have been committed to our lunch time dance class and have given up their own time to represent the school. A big thank you to all the parents who supported the event!

Choir News!

The choir will be going to Tron St. Mary’s on Thursday 24th November at 10am to participate in our second annual choir ‘sing off’. This was an enormous success last year and we would like to invite family and friends of the choir members to show their support by joining us in the audience. Choir practice will take place on Tuesday this week and there will be no club on Thursday.

Remembrance Day Celebrations!

Our choir were recently invited to join Rhona at Broomfield Court Care Home for their annual Remembrance Day service. Many of the residents served in or lived through the war and it was fantastic to hear their memories and to share in their special moment as we sang ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘The Black Hills of Dakota’.

Wake Up Shake Up!

The Health Heroes have been reminding classes that “Wake Up Shake Up” will be on a Wednesday morning at 8.30am. Please come along and join us. This is a great way to start the day and  keep ourselves fit and healthy.

Meet the Teacher & Family Learning

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event last week. We had a good turn out and we are delighted that so many of you want to help us by working in partnership to deliver the best learning experiences for our young people. There is still time to sign up to help at our many clubs
