Home Learning – 22nd April

Another day, and it’s another day we are seeing sun!! ☀️😎

Yesterday, some of the infant teachers went into school to organise things for next term. (we made sure to keep our distance, as it’s so important to stay safe!)

I even met Aarv on my way out. He was showing me how quick he can run and he looks so grown up!

Here is what your class have been getting up to yesterday. 📸

HWB:

If you do not yet know how to tie your shoe laces, here’s a challenge: Learn how how to tie your laces before we go back to school. Good Luck!!

As it has also to be a nice day again, try to get outside. The fresh air will do everyone good! Try Mr Corrigans nature walk. 📸

Have a think when you are out:

What are your 5 senses?

Name 1 thing for each sense that you experience when you are out.

Try to give someone a compliment that you are out with.

Maybe even try and make up an exercise routine when you are out.

LITERACY:

Mrs Dunnet very kindly made a word search with some of the teachers names. See if you can find all of the names.

St Alberts Staff Wordsearch

MATHS:

See if you can have a go at re-creating these patterns using lego or anything colourful you have at home.

Your Spring Holiday!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun 2 weeks. I know this is a strange time, but everyone is doing an amazing job at staying positive and keeping a smile on their face.

You could try one or more of these task to get our brains ready for learning again:

  • Draw a picture of your favourite part of the holiday.
  • Write a letter to the class telling them all the exciting things you did over the Easter Holiday.
  • Have a conversation with your family talking about the past two weeks and what each of you enjoyed the most.

Here’s lots of pictures I have been sent of the fun things you have been getting up to over the holidays.

Remember all tasks set on the blog are useful things to do that will keep you busy. They DO NOT all have to be completed. Don’t feel pressured to compete them. 🙂

HWB:

Remember Joe Wicks is still doing his daily videos to help keep everyone fit and healthy.

MATHS:

Since we celebrated Easter during our holiday. I though we could design our own Easter eggs. You can also design your own in one of the jotters you have at home. 📸

LITERACY:

Have you noticed a change in the weather? Try filling out this seasons writing sheet. What do you notice about each season, can you draw this? Then tell me your favourite thing about each of these seasons.

Home Learning – Day 11

Hello Primary 2!!!

I made more cookies, and they are as amazing as the last lot!

I also made some vegetable soup to try and get as many vitamins as possible.

Yesterday I spent a lot of my day recording story books that I know you will love, they should all be available on the infants YouTube channel today, as well as some new ones from Miss Bull!

My mum also walked past my house when she was out walking her dogs, it was so lovely to be able to chat to her, while we both made sure to keep our distance when chatting.

Keep sending your pictures in to keep a smile on everyones face! 📸gw19grahamclaire@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk

Reminder that all the tasks set on the blog are only given as suggestions. Nothing on the blogs have to be completed, it is just some fun ideas to keep you busy at this time.

ALSO: Tomorrow we are going to have a wear something purple day. 💜 This means teachers, parents and pupils all need to wear something purple and either send a picture to me, or post it onto the school Facebook or twitter. I’ll be posting my picture tomorrow and I’m looking forward to seeing yours!
