Home Learning – Keep on being amazing!

Good Morning!!

Yesterday I delivered learning packs and got to see most of you (from a safe distance)! It was lovely to see everyone happy and safe. I honestly do miss you all so much!

What I loved even more is some people were still in their pyjamas and I was so jealous, so I went straight some and put mine on! 😁 💤

Here is what your friends were doing yesterday. 📸

Issa was using forks to help him with adding and subtracting, then he enjoyed colouring with his dad.

Rida started the day with some exercise. She used a watermelon as a weight to make it harder. What a great idea!!

She then got started on some of the home learning after it was delivered.

FUN CHALLENGE:

Yesterday Mrs Hunter-Andreuccetti left a comment on the blog… I challenge you to find that comment and leave a reply.

ART:

Yesterday Mr Corrigan went out for a lovely walk. He found some beautiful Cherry Blossom Trees.

He then used these trees as inspiration to create an amazing water colour picture.

Why don’t you have a go at creating this beautiful painting or try painting your own favourite flower or tree. 📸

I know some of you may not have paints at home, so I have attached Miss Milne’s video to show you how to make your own.

When I was out delivering yesterday I seen some fantastic rainbows in the windows of your homes. Why not try and find things in your home the colour of the rainbow. 📸

Here are some Number Bonds to 20, you can try giving these a go in your jotter or you can print the sheet off. 📸

Good Morning! Another day to shine and show you are amazing!

Here is what your friends did yesterday:

Shahmir and Shanzy have been crafting and making lots of fun things.

Arham and Zoha had a lovely visit from Miss Bull, dropping off packs of learning.  I will also be delivering some fun packs.

As we are speaking about mental health this week, some of the staff from St Alberts made a video showing what they like to do when they are feeling sad or down at this time.

Home Learning – Let’s talk about how we feel!

Hello everyone!! Hope you are all well!

Rida is still enjoying lots of colouring!

Shahmir and Shanzy have been showing great team work and are working hard with mum and dad.

This week we are focusing on Health and Wellbeing, so to start us off, here is yesterdays assembly.. have a listen and see if you can hear a familiar name!!

Remember is it ok to be finding this time hard and a challenge. But the main focus is remember we are all here for one another and we are a family. 💜

HWB:

Today, we can focus on how this time is making us feel. Are you happy to be spending lots of time with your family, are you sad that you’re not seeing other members of family? Happy that you are not at school, or sad that you are not at school? There will be lots of feelings and emotions we are feeling at the moment… so let’s talk about them!

Task 1- Write down the top 5 worries you have. Sometimes when you write down your worries they become more manageable. Now discuss them with your family (they might be feeling the same!).

My Top 5 Worries

Task 2 – Now try filling out this worksheet and keep it handy when you are feeling sad.

Feeling Sad – Here’s what to do!

Your Spring Holiday!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun 2 weeks. I know this is a strange time, but everyone is doing an amazing job at staying positive and keeping a smile on their face.

You could try one or more of these task to get our brains ready for learning again:

  • Draw a picture of your favourite part of the holiday.
  • Write a letter to the class telling them all the exciting things you did over the Easter Holiday.
  • Have a conversation with your family talking about the past two weeks and what each of you enjoyed the most.

Here’s lots of pictures I have been sent of the fun things you have been getting up to over the holidays.

Remember all tasks set on the blog are useful things to do that will keep you busy. They DO NOT all have to be completed. Don’t feel pressured to compete them. 🙂

HWB:

Remember Joe Wicks is still doing his daily videos to help keep everyone fit and healthy.

MATHS:

Since we celebrated Easter during our holiday. I though we could design our own Easter eggs. You can also design your own in one of the jotters you have at home. 📸

LITERACY:

Have you noticed a change in the weather? Try filling out this seasons writing sheet. What do you notice about each season, can you draw this? Then tell me your favourite thing about each of these seasons.
