Learning to play Rugby πŸ‰πŸ‰

As part of our Health and Wellbeing learning, we have started to learn to play Rugby.

Coaches from the college are coming in to teach us how to play Rugby from 2 til 3 on a Wednesday. **please remember to bring trainers at this time. **

During the first session, we learned how to hold the ball properly, one handΒ  needs to be at the bottom and the other at the top and your hands need to be spread open.

We did some throwing and catching drills and learned how to stand when throwing in rugby. You always need to stand side on.

We also worked on throwing, catching and running drills.Β  This will help with our co-ordination.

It was so much fun and we will definitely improve and be pros by the third session.

Miss McCue put her throwing and catching skills to the test too during the drills.
