Weekly Timetable

Miss Hay is our teacher on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Miss Wilson teaches us on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Our gym day is a Wednesday. We come to school on this day dressed in appropriate gym clothes. It is important that no jewellery is worn on this day.

We go to the ICT suite on a Friday Morning before break.

This term our class topic is Ancient Greeks.

Learning Targets and Wall Displays

This is our Class Charter. It supports us in promoting the school values of Safe, Kind and Respectful. Together with our teachers we decided to focus our class charter around the kind of learners we strive to be, as well as how we like ourselves to feel, in our classroom learning environment. We brainstormed a range of associated words and voted for the idea of writing these on stationary bursting out of a pencil case. We still need to add the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) articles around the pencil case to complete our charter.

Each week we celebrate particularly impressive pieces of work on our WOW work display board.

This is our interactive VCOP display board. VCOP stands for vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation. By focusing on these four elements through writer’s voice each week, we share and discuss different word ideas that allow us to enhance and develop our writing skills.

This is our Health and Wellbeing learning wall. This term we are learning about the importance of having a growth mindset, self-regulation strategies linked to Emotion Works and the significance of the Five Ways to Well-being. Each week we set a personal goal to achieve linked to one of the Five Ways to Well-being.

Over the next few terms Miss Hay is teaching us how to play the ukulele. Watch this space to see how we progress!
