Celebrating Success and Recognising Achievements

Token Reward System

Our Reward System has been updated to coincide with Rimbleton’s School Values. School staff recognise and reward pupils with tokens for Safe, Kind and Respectful behaviour. The number of tokens are recorded per class and success is shared and celebrated weekly during a virtual assembly.

Recognising achievement is an integral part of Curriculum for Excellence.

The reasons for recognising learners’ achievements include:

  • to increase self-esteem, improve motivation and keep young people engaged in learning
  • to encourage young people to reflect on their learning – where they are and where they want to go – and help them to articulate the skills gained, in discussion with other learning partners and in interviews with potential employers, colleges or higher education
  • to help deliver the aims, values and purposes of Curriculum for Excellence – in which planning opportunities for achievement is an integral part of the curriculum.

Hot Chocolate Friday

Every week a child from each class is selected by their teacher for displaying behaviours which link with the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

CONNECT – BE ACTIVE – TAKE NOTICE – LEARN – GIVE

The children’s photographs are posted on our Facebook page on the Friday and the children are invited to join a member of our management team in the hall to celebrate their success over a lovely cup of hot chocolate.
