What a lovely start to the new session. It is always great to see children returning to school bringing energy into the school building. A fresh new session has brought fresh opportunities. There are various leadership roles undertaken by our pupils at Lynburn. The work they undertake makes a positive contribution to the nurturing culture of Lynburn primary as well as providing the opportunity to develop new skills.

Our award winning Aquarium Ambassadors lead moments of wellbeing in the class, so all Lynburn pupils know how to destress using breathing and tapping, every class at Lynburn has an ambassador. Some primary 6s have recently applied to become a Peer Mediator. Mediators support fall outs in the playground, they do so without taking sides and ensuring that all children have their chance to speak while remaining respectful of each other. The Calm Club are also run by Primary 6s, they support the emotional wellbeing of pupils in the playgrounds by helping them when they feel sad or upset.
