Learning @ Lynburn

At Lynburn ELC we adopt a child centred approach to learning where our children are at the centre of everything we do. Our role is to extend the children’s learning through areas of interest established through observation techniques, interactions between staff and children and child to child and through intentional promotions or provocations.

Our starting points come from the children; learning is documented through a ‘Learning Wall’ as well as your child’s PLJ. Each playroom has their own Learning Wall, ask your child about it or visit it in the nursery. Our Learning News Parent board in the nursery corridor is where you will also find current Learning Wall themes and ideas for at home. Planned learning experiences for literacy, numeracy, health and wellbeing and other curricular areas can be found on the planning wall within each playroom.
