This will be the last newsletter of this school session and this term so far has been very busy.
Our current data shows we will again have 14 classes next session and we have now shared classes and teachers for August. There will be an opportunity for children to meet their teacher and visit their new classroom tomorrow. End of session reports outlining progress and next steps will be issued this week.
This term there has been a focus on transition and our P7 pupils have visited Woodmill High School to participate in PE & STEM activities, meet key staff and familiarise themselves with the building and also the walking routes. We have enjoyed meeting families of our new P1 intake during a number of transition events including Stay & Play and the school dinner experience.
Thank you to the Lynburn Parent Partnership who generously contributed to purchasing a Leavers hoodie for every P7. The children look very smart and are wearing them with pride. They have also gifted ties to all our new P1 starts to welcome them to Lynburn. Huge thanks to The Co-op on Linburn Road for their generous community funding and to 3 of our P7 Parents which is supporting our P7 leavers disco. Their generous donations are providing the children with a fantastic buffet and party props during the disco.
A reminder Café Inc will be on at Touch PS during the holidays where cold lunches can be collected between 11.45am and 1pm.
P7 had their leavers show last week and they put on two fantastic performances showcasing a variety of skills and talents. This year we introduced 4 new awards linked to our school values and thank you to Mrs Devlin, a member of our community, for generously funding our award plaques.
Congratulations to:
Kindness – Freya Smith

A huge number of our children attended the Dunfermline Gala on Saturday and had a great day. Special thanks to Leanne & Lisa our Gala Reps and to all the parent volunteers.
Wishing you all a relaxing Summer break.
