A Message from Mrs Mcilhatton

Huge thank you to our Parent Partnership who raised £182.00 by organising a Christmas Raffle – thanks also to everyone who donated and purchased tickets. Arrangements are in full swing for our Spring Fayre on Sunday 19th May from 12-2pm. Interested stallholders should contact Parent Partnership via lynburnps.enquiries@fife.gov.uk for further information.

In our last newsletter we shared our updated School Travel Plan which outlines key information and priorities to ensure safety in and around school.

A reminder that we are a NUT FREE SCHOOL and we appreciate your support ensuring all snacks that are brought into school do not contain nuts.

Recently we have had concerns raised by parents/carers and members of the local community around unsafe driving and parking around our school. A reminder the car park is not accessible to cars and pedestrians should enter the playground via the steps on Nith Street. We ask for everyone’s support to ensure children can walk, scoot or cycle and be dropped off and collected as safely as possible. Please be mindful of our neighbours around the school and do not park over or block driveways.

Parent/teacher interviews will be held on Thursday 7th March and Tuesday 12th March. Please contact the school office if you have yet to make an appointment.

Look out for the next Learning Sways before the Easter holidays, current Sways can be accessed via Seesaw or on The Class boards in school.

To further celebrate the Wider Achievement of ALL our pupils in school and in the wider community, we would like to know about it! Whether it is learning something new, fundraising for charity, being part of a team, winning a competition, conquering a fear, a random act of kindness or being part of a club.

Please fill in the form below to celebrate wider achievement:

WIDER ACHIEVEMENT

Community

P5/6 visited St. Ninian’s Church over the festive period to join the congregation for some Christmas singing and snacks. We thank them for inviting us to spread some Christmas cheer!

P6/7 and & P7B visiting the Vine Centre to participate in a community engagement event with the Royal Marine Band of Scotland. They watched a performance of The Snowman and had refreshments.

6/7 enjoyed workshops from DAFC Pars Foundation. They participated in physical sessions as well as an insightful question and answer forum with first team players.

Children in P1 were excited to have a visit from Santa and his helpers to deliver Christmas goodies. Thank you to the Dunfermline 41 Club, with the support of local businesses – DM Hall, Malcolm, Jack and Matheson, Thomson Cooper, Ryan’s Bike Surgery and Grant McGregor for their generosity and time.
