Welcome back to a new school session. It has been great to see almost all children wearing the Lynburn uniform with pride. If you require support in providing school uniform please contact the school office.

  • Children should come to school for a 9am start and line up with their class.
  • Please arrive on time to school and no earlier than 8.45am. Being late can cause upset to your child and disrupt the important routines in place in the home first thing.
  • P1-P2 children and 1 family member, where possible, should enter via Tinto Place. Children should line up independently and parents/carers wait in the designated area.
  • P3 children should enter at the garden entrance. We ask parents/carers to remain behind the gate.
  • P4-7 children should enter via the steps at Nith Street or by Tweed Street and line up at their designated area in the playground independently and would ask parents/carers to wait at the trim trail area. We want to keep our areas safe in the mornings. Due to time limits teachers do not have time to speak with parents/carers and we ask if you require to speak to them for any reason call the office to speak with your Depute Head Teacher or make an appointment.
  • There is no access to the car park for parents/carers. For families exiting via Nith Street please use the steps rather than walking through the car park.
  • Please be considerate of our neighbours if parking in the local community. A reminder that there are double yellow lines on Tweed Street which should not be parked over.
  • Bikes and scooters can be brought to school and stored in our shelters in each playground. We’d encourage children to bring and use a bike lock to secure their bike/scooter. Please make sure your child has a helmet.
  • In the event of us having to evacuate the building for any reason our place of safety will be Abbeyview Bowling Club.
  • If your child requires to have medication administered in school please complete a consent form available from the school office.
