A message from Miss Doyle
As we approach the end of our Summer Term and reflect on the year we have had at Lynburn ELC we are ending our nursery year celebrating all children’s achievements, big and small and the recent success of our inspection from Education Scotland.
It has been a very busy term that has flown by with lots of different things taking place. Everyone has enjoyed the recent events of the chicks, Pars visiting, Lynburn’s Hopathon, Sports Day, and the upcoming Moving on Celebration and Summer Party. We have also had the excitement of the transition events for those children starting nursery in August 2024 and those who are starting school in August 2024. Almost all of our Lynburn’s little learners have coped extremely well with the varying events taking place, practises, rehearsals and welcoming visiting children and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
Our inspection report has now been published and can be viewed by clicking here:
This is a very positive outcome for our school and nursery and we are delighted the team recognised our strengths and the areas for development very much align with our own self evaluation findings.
We would welcome your thoughts on our inspection report by writing a comment in our big book in the foyer.
As you aware, following recent communications, I say a fond farewell to Lynburn Primary School and ELC community at the end of this term and will be transferring to Burntisland Primary School and ELC. This has been a particularly difficult few weeks as I begin to wrap up at Lynburn and organise as much as I can for the team moving into the new academic session. I have visited Burntisland on a few occasions recently where I have been made to feel very welcome and valued as I join the Senior Leadership Team as the Early Years Depute, leading the nursery and P1 team. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Lynburn and will miss everyone greatly.
Thank you for your continued support, kind words and well wishes.
Wishing everyone a lovely summer break and all the best for the future,
Kirsty Doyle
