What is a Young Carer?
A Young Carer is a child or young person, who supports a family member who has one or more of the following
· Long-term illness
· Mental health difficulties
· Physical difficulties
· Learning difficulties
Approximately 1 in 8 young people will have a caring role at some point in their life.

Ms Cambridge and Mrs McLean are our Fife Young Carers School Champions and are happy to speak to you about all things Fife Young Carers-related!
We are incredibly lucky to have Julia Bowden from Fife Young Carers, as our Education Worker. Julia now runs a Fife Young Carers Lunchtime club on a Monday and this has been well-attended. Our registered Fife Young Carers meet, have lunch together and take part in fun activities.
How do I refer to Fife Young Carers?
Julia is hoping to attend our upcoming Parent’s night in October and will be in the office area. She is happy to talk to families about Fife Young Carers and will have referral forms that she can complete with you.
