Babcock Virtual Work experience- closes 15th April 2022

Babcock’s virtual work experience programme is now open for applications to be submitted. The work experience programme will take place during June for 5 days and is collaboration across 3 of our business areas. LIVE VIRTUAL NHS WORK EXPERIENCE 6th FEBRUARY

We are delighted to announce that the NHS Allied Work Experience Programme is in full swing and available for S3-S6 students to participate in. This is something that they can include in their UCAS and Apprenticeship Applications. Hairdressing Apprentice opportunity

Studio 7 Hair and Beauty in Clarkston, are looking for someone that would be interested in an apprenticeship. The individual should be interested in a hairdressing career and have drive and enthusiasm within this line of work. They are willing to offer trial opportunities to enable the young person to see what it is like working within a busy fast paced salon and the work load that comes along with this. Training for this role will be provided in house and also through attending college on a day release basis whilst also receiving continual support and guidance from experienced staff throughout their course of programme. SDS and National Parent Forum of Scotland – FA event

SDS and NPFS are arranging a session on Foundation Apprenticeships for parents and carers on Tuesday 14th December from 7pm-8pm. This session gives the opportunity to find out about Foundation Apprenticeships including who they’re for, how they work and their benefits. During this one hour session we’ll talk through the value and equivalency of the qualification in terms of SCQF levels and UCAS points. We’ll also share pupil journeys and how Foundation Apprenticeships helped them progress onto a job such as a Modern or Graduate Apprenticeship, college or university. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
