Outdoor Learning

We braved the cold today to head outside and consolidate our learning about living and non-living things. The pupils learned about the distinguishing features of something that is a living thing and then went outside, found different items and placed them into the two categories. We also discussed other ways to categorise the items depending on their similarities and differences.

Senses

This week we have begun our Science Topic : Senses.  So far we have went a walk around the school on a Senses walk, we found lots of exciting things including a delicious smell of soup coming for Mr Farrell’s class, the sound of children laughing and found lots of interesting things to touch in the P4-7 playground.

Then Miss Pervaiz brought in lots of interesting things for us to taste, smell, hear, see and touch. We loved describing and tasting the different fruits.
