Today in R.E. we were learning about Lenten promises and how we can make a promise to improve our class. In primary 6b, our Lenten promises are to tidy up after ourselves and to include others more. 💕

P6b enjoyed a workshop hosted by Barclays on ‘value for money’ this morning. They learned the difference between income and expenditure and reflected on their own spending patterns by completing a personal budget.

 

Today in Health and Wellbeing, the class learned about different aspects of relationships. We spoke about qualities we look for in relationships, positive and negative relationships, and how to resolve conflicts. We were reminded of our right to feel safe, and that we can always speak to someone (a trusted adult or a peer) if we need to.

Today we have been investigating how things dissolve in water and the impact of changing the temperature. We discussed the importance of a fair test.

In small groups, we researched different Catholic Aid Agencies and the good work they do all around the world. We compiled this information into an informative poster to share our learning 📝😊

We have extended our gymnastics learning to group balances! We have been learning different balances and adapting them to our individual group’s needs. We used teamwork, trust,  balance and elements of flexibility 😎🤸‍♂️

Well done to our first Star Of the Week! Our goal this week was ‘Ready to Learn’ and this Star showed all the attributes for this goal ⭐️

In Health and Wellbeing, we explored the question ‘What is empathy?’ and how we can be empathetic towards others. We talked through different scenarios in which we should show empathy towards others, and then took our learning outdoors. This group created a ‘safe space’ in which people could chat to each other in confidence. Lovely work today ❤️
