STEM – Planet Earth

Over the last few weeks, P6 have been carrying out research on the planets. This week they shared their learning with other pupils. Well done everyone. I loved seeing your presentations.

Basketball Team of the Week!

The basketball ๐Ÿ€ team of the week has tried their best and won the game but everyone also tried their best but didnโ€™t win. The winning team used their skills and used teamwork to win ๐Ÿ† the basketball game.

Problem Solving

As well as completing our problem this week, we chose to challenge ourselves with different activities that we feel will help us with multiplication and word problems. Some of us wrote out our own problems for a partner to solve, some of us played games to practise times tables we find tricky, and some of us created games using the Numeracy Blueprint Boards.

PE Warm Up!

During Monday P.E. lessons, we are covering Fitness. For our warm up, two fantastic volunteers taught the class, demonstrating stretches so we were ready for the lesson. The class were respectful and responded well to their peers leading the session. Great job P6b๐Ÿ‘

A Visit to The Foundry!

P6b took a walk to the Barrhead Foundry to collect library books. These books will be used in class for our ERIC time๐Ÿ“š

We loved speaking to the librarians, and discovering the variety of books that are available to us in our local area ๐Ÿ“•๐Ÿ‘

Basketball Team of the Week๐Ÿ€

Well done to the Basketball Team of the Week. This team showed initiative during their games, spreading out on the court for their teammates to pass to them, a strategy that won them 3 goals! Excellent work ๐Ÿ˜

Challenge Poverty Week

Today we discussed what it is like to have less than others and what we can do to support people living in poverty. We listened to a woman called Marie who often worries about money and the pressures this can have on her family. We all agreed that it is so important to treat everyone with kindness and not to brag about our possessions, as we can never be sure of the financial situations of others.
