Spanish food and fun! 🇪🇸

Thank you so much to Miss Paterson who came in to teach P6b Spanish today! We learnt numbers up to 10, and explored different ways to have conversations with others. We also enjoyed the opportunity of trying new, Spanish foods, too (even if we weren’t too keen on them)! 🍅🍇🌯🥘 A great, enriching experience ❤️

The Swinging Sixties 🎵

P6b had the best time on their school trip to the People’s Palace, learning all about what life was like for people living in Glasgow in the 1960s. We attended workshops on the Steamie, dancing at the Barrowlands, working and living conditions, and what it was like to go on holiday! Such a great day for everyone 🏘️🕺🏻🎵🧼❤️

Forest School – Week 1! 🪢🌳

Today, P6b enjoyed their first forest school session of the year , learning how to tie different knots with Mr Farrell, and have the opportunity to explore our amazing woodland area! We can’t wait for next week❤️🌲

Netball!

Today, we focused on the importance of communication and collaboration in netball, ensuring we stayed alert and shouted each other’s names when passing. This is to make sure you are ready to receive the ball from your team member! 🏀

Theme Park Problem Solving 🎟🎪

Today we used teamwork to answer problem solving questions that related to theme parks. Brad, the employee, asked us for help on lots of different problems, including solving a password and calculating distances he walked within the theme park. We used skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, communicating and creativity. We loved solving these problems – teamwork makes the dream work! 👍😀🎡🎢🎠

K’nex Challenge

We loved taking part in the Glasgow Science Festival class K’nex challenge this afternoon. We had to build a bridge that could hold a small water bottle, was at least 19cm high and at least 30cm long. It also had to have an opening for a boat of any size to pass through.
We all agreed that this was a lot trickier than we first thought. Excellent communication, problem solving and designs were demonstrated.
Well done to our winners Hannah and Lily!

World Book Day 📚

For World Book Day, Primary 6b enjoyed a BBC Live Lesson with different authors and poets. We completed a range of activities, including creating an alternative character, and adding a major twist to our favourite stories! We finished the day with a KAHOOT quiz, testing our knowledge of popular children’s books 😎📔
