For Halloween, P6b created spooky illustrations of pumpkins, frankensteins and witches using colourful oil pastels on black paper. This technique made the pictures pop, and we were so impressed with everyone’s efforts 🧙🏻♀️🧟♀️🎃
In St Luke’s Cluster we nurture every child’s unique God given talents to enable them to flourish in a climate of high expectations, innovation and creativity.

Kevin from East Renfrewshire Young Carers came to visit the class. He spoke about what it means to be a young carer, and how young carers across Scotland can be supported. The class were keen to ask more questions, and participated well in discussions 😄
After a fantastic unit of basketball, P6b are excited to move onto tennis! We have been practicing coordination with bean bags, and will continue to develop our skills throughout the block 🙂
Over the last few weeks, P6 have been carrying out research on the planets. This week they shared their learning with other pupils. Well done everyone. I loved seeing your presentations.
The basketball 🏀 team of the week has tried their best and won the game but everyone also tried their best but didn’t win. The winning team used their skills and used teamwork to win 🏆 the basketball game.
Signing off O & I
As well as completing our problem this week, we chose to challenge ourselves with different activities that we feel will help us with multiplication and word problems. Some of us wrote out our own problems for a partner to solve, some of us played games to practise times tables we find tricky, and some of us created games using the Numeracy Blueprint Boards.
During Monday P.E. lessons, we are covering Fitness. For our warm up, two fantastic volunteers taught the class, demonstrating stretches so we were ready for the lesson. The class were respectful and responded well to their peers leading the session. Great job P6b👍
P6b took a walk to the Barrhead Foundry to collect library books. These books will be used in class for our ERIC time📚
We loved speaking to the librarians, and discovering the variety of books that are available to us in our local area 📕👍
Well done to the Basketball Team of the Week. This team showed initiative during their games, spreading out on the court for their teammates to pass to them, a strategy that won them 3 goals! Excellent work 😁
Congratulations to this week’s star writer! The Letter to Mr Silver had persuasive language including rhetorical questions, WOW words and alliteration. Well done 😊
