In Literacy, the class were writing a persuasive letter to Miss Black, convincing her to let them sit beside friends in class. We used a variety of persuasive language and techniques… but were the letters persuasive enough?
Today, primary 6b used their note taking and skimming skills to investigate and write about Scottish artists. We learnt about John Byrne, Gillian Kyle, Charles Rennie MacKintosh and Steven brown. We are excited to continue learning about these artists and create art in the next couple of weeks.

Today, Primary 6b reinforced their learning from in class outside using loose parts. One group created a cafe with a menu which had prices with decimal points! Fab work
A big thank you to Cleo from P7 who came in to talk to us about her journey with reading and writing. It was great to hear how reading has helped improve her writing skills. We loved listening to her read out some of her stories from P6 and this has inspired us to include as many adjectives and adverbs in our writing as we can!
We explored strategies to solve tricky problem in maths, including acting out the situation and reasoning logically. It took a few attempts but we got there in the end. We learned that perseverance is key!
