Well done to St Mark’s Primary 7 children who participated in the Badminton Competition at Springhill and Auchenback Primary School today. They demonstrated excellent net play, footwork and drop shots.

Electric Glen
Electric Glen 2016 is set to be the best yet – with a new trail, improved lighting at the boating pond and an unforgettable experience as you walk through the glen.
Tesco Competition
St Mark’s enjoyed participating in Tesco’s Halloween competition. The children’s work was displayed in-store and yesterday Tesco staff visited us with some prizes. Sophie in P7a was the overall winner and won a £10 gift voucher.
Thanks Tesco!

Parent Council Meeting
Follow the link below to view the minutes from the Parent council Meeting held on the 4th November.
Parental Hints and Tips
- Encourage your child to take responsibility for jobs around the house which are appropriate for their age e.g. make their bed, clean their bedroom, wash/dry the dishes, make their packed lunch/dinner with you etc.
- If your child finds it hard to tidy their room, be more detailed. For example, give them 3 or 4 tasks to complete: put dirty clothes in the wash basket, fold clean clothes and put them away, make your bed and tidy toys away into the box.
Energy Efficiency
As part of wider research into fuel poverty within East Renfrewshire, the council is looking to distribute an energy efficiency and affordable warmth survey to engage with local residents.
The primary goal is to find out how residents are managing their fuel bills and if they are aware of the support that’s available. It’s hoped the survey will help participants to save on their gas and electricity bills and better heat their homes.
Please complete the following online survey.
EE AND AFFORDABLE WARMTH SURVEY FINAL
Any support you could give would be appreciated – the closing date for the survey is 20th November 2015
Parental survey
Please take the time to complete a short survey for parents/carers which we hope will capture their views on both preferred methods of general communications with schools and also their thoughts on the online payment solution.
