Aye Mind- Mental Health & Wellbeing

We were lucky enough to have Frankie, one of our St. Mark’s Parents come in during our Health week to talk with P5-P7 about the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Pupils were asked to think about what they would do if they were sad, worried, anxious and ways in which they can help others who feel that way.

The pupils then created posters, GIFs and even stop motion animations to share their thoughts.

Calling all parents….

Chi gong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises. … Chi is a concept from traditional Chinese culture that roughly means vital energy, information, breath or spirit.

One of our parents Mrs Kelly West, is a trained instructor and will be holding a series of 5 sessions in the school hall at 9-10am on Mondays 11th September, 18th September, 2nd October , 23rd October and 30th October. We would love as many parents as possible to take advantage of this excellent and relaxing way to start the week! Please let the school office or Mrs Hamilton know if you intend to join us or respond to the email/text that will go out about this opportunity this week.
