As there will be a funeral Mass in St Vincent’s on Friday, our Primary 7 children will not be attending First Friday Mass.

As you know, our Primary 7 children will be visiting Lockerbie Manor from Monday 23rd^th November – Friday 27^th November 2015.
We value this trip as an integral part of our Primary 7 Personal and Social Development programme, as our children prepare for the transition from Primary to Secondary School.
On Tuesday 31^st March, there will be a meeting in the school at 7pm to give an insight into the week’s events and to answer any questions you may wish to ask.
Tea and coffee will be served in the mensa from 6.45pm

Thursday 19^th March      P7c
Our Primary 7c pupils took part in a creative competition for Show Racism the Red card and as a result, 2 of our pupils have been nominated to attend the award ceremony in Hampden Park on Thursday 19^th March. All of P7c pupils have been invited along to support them.
The children will leave the school at 12pm and travel to Hampden by coach, accompanied by members of staff. They will have a tour of Hampden and time to look at displays, followed by the presentation of awards.
As the children will not arrive back to school until 3.45pm they will need to be collected.
Full school uniform to be worn

Over the past few weeks our Primary 5 pupils have enjoyed looking at Ancient China in class. We have arranged a visit to the Burrell Collection in Pollok Park where the children will take part in a workshop looking at and handling artefacts from Ancient China to learn about Chinese Dynasties, Artisan’s crafts and materials and beliefs.
Classes will leave from the school at 12:30am and return at 2.45pm.

• Cost of trip is £3.50 to include the workshop and part of transport costs
• School uniform to be worn
• Packed lunch, labelled, in a plastic bag for ease of disposal
• There is a museum shop and if you wish your child to buy a small souvenir, we would recommend a maximum of £2
• If there are any changes to medical conditions/medications from the medical consent form you completed at the beginning of this session, please inform the school office

Fr Jim Duggan from St. Joseph’s Parish will say Mass for P5 classes next Thursday 26^th February at 1.45pm in the Junior Department School Hall and family of Primary 5 pupils are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

Our Primary 5/6/7 classes will attend Mass in St. Vincent’s Church, Thornliebank this Wednesday 10am.
We shall leave from school at 9.30am accompanied by members of staff and will return at 11.00am.
The children will walk to/from church via a local route alongside Woodfarm High School and through parkland, thus avoiding any major road crossings.
Full school uniform, shirt, tie, school shoes
Children to dress appropriately for the weather conditions of the day.
Parent helpers with a PVG certificate are welcome to assist.
If there is any change in medical conditions / medication, from information given at the start of term, please inform school office
