Gardening Club Volunteers
Gardening Club
On behalf of the School the PSA is enquiring to the level of interest there would be within the school community for a Gardening Club to maintain the garden that sits parallel to the Junior Department playground.
The gardening club would be open to parents, carers, grandparents and wider family who have an interest in gardening and could perhaps supply tools. It would be out-with school hours with a commitment of perhaps a fortnightly or monthly rota dependent on time of year and work required and ideally the child would help also.
If this would be of interest could you email the PSA email address olm-psa@hotmail.com or message us on Facebook (OLM PSA) advising what you would be able to commit to and obviously any suggestions you may have to how this could work.
Many thanks for your interest.

Christmas Fair (3rd December) – Raffle Donations
The PSA have started their planning for the biggest fundraiser in the school calendar, the Christmas Fair. One of the main aspects of this day is our annual raffle and for this to be a success we rely on donations.
So we are appealing to you for any donation, be it a voucher, bottles of wine/champagne, memberships, tickets, beauty products, electrical goods etc. Funds raised at the Fair all go towards activities and equipment that otherwise the children would not be able to benefit from and it really does make a difference.
If you are able to help, or can persuade your employer to donate a prize, it would really help ensure the raffle continues to be one of our major fund-raising successes.
The Fair is well attended by local families and is a great occasion for everyone to get together. We advertise the prizes ahead of time and would like to promote the donations, so an early donation is appreciated.
If you would like us to collect your gift, please contact the school on 0141 570 7280, olm-psa@hotmail.com, drop it by at the school office, or ring Bernadine Nordmann on 07977596802 and we will arrange for a parent to uplift.
May we take this opportunity to thank you and we will be in touch soon.
Yours sincerely,
Our Lady of the Missions PSA.

Parent Council response to ERC consultation on admissions
consultation-response-final-version-pdf
Please see the attached document which sets out the Parent Council’s response to the ERC Consultation on admissions. This has been very carefully considered by our 31 members and we hope is a fair reflection of the diversity of views in our parent forum. If you have not done so already, please go to http://www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/schoolconsultation to register your own response as our survey and response is not (and cannot be) a substitute for all members of our school community having their say directly. Bear in mind also both partners in a family can respond if appropriate. The deadline is midnight on Monday 10th October. Thank you.

Parent Staff Association Event Update
At this month’s meeting it was agreed that there would be no Halloween event. Instead, we are keen to introduce new and exciting events and activities which will allow more children to take part. We also hope to spread the requests for donations more evenly through the school year and hopefully bring better profits that will go towards more equipment and activities for the children in school. Details of the new events will be issued nearer the time. The Christmas Fair will go ahead as usual on Saturday 3rd December with some exciting new visitors and activities, watch this space!!….We have received fantastic support already this year and your help and feedback both positive and negative are greatly appreciated. Remember everyone is automatically a member of the PSA so please get involved.
