Andrew Mullen, an S5 pupils at MCHS, swam his best time ever this morning in the men’s 50 freestyle S5 heat to win his place in the final.
All of S5 and many friends watched Andrew live this morning in the Open Area.
Andrew will swim in the final tonight at 8:25. You can follow the race live on Channel 4.
Well done Andrew. All of MCHS and East Renfrewshire are so proud of you and wish you all the best for tonight’s final.
We have had to change the date of the school photographs. Pupils in S1,S3, S5 and S6 will now get their photographs taken on Tuesday 25th September.

A reminder to the S5 Bronze Group and S6 Silver groups that any outstanding equipment and projects must be handed in as soon as possible. Pupils should also be keeping their EdofE accounts up to date and completing the other sections of the award. Any login problems see Mrs Ward.
Mearns Castle pupils took part in a World Challenge expedition to Peru during the summer. This album of photographs are a select few from the trip which followed 2 years of fundraising by the group. Pupils were involved in numerous activities and saw many spectacular sights throughout their time in South America.

For any S6 pupil who has volunteered for Community Involvement / Paired Reading in the Support for Learning Department.
There will be a short training session at the start of Lunchtime on Tuesday 28th August in SfL room 3. It should only last 10/15 minutes. Please let Miss McLachlan know if you are not able to attend.
History Lego club will be held every Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime in room F9.
Come along and learn about History, meet new friends, play with lego and be a part of the Famous Moment in Lego History.
All pupils welcome and should bring a packed lunch along with them.
The club will begin next Thursday (30th August) after school (3.35pm-5.30pm) in room E4 for S4-S6 pupils. New members are welcome.
All members should also see Mr McGowne in room E4 for a consent form for the new year.
