Induction Dates

Parents of new children starting in or after August 2018 should have received paperwork some time ago, if you have not yet recieved a pack please contact me at the Family Centre to let me know.

Dates have been arranged for your child to come along and explore the ‘Cara Playroom’ and beyond!

Dates are as follows:

Monday 23rd July

Wednesday 1st August

Tuesday 7th August

Please come along between 10am – 11am or from 2pm – 3pm, whichever suits you best.

You are more than welcome to attend more than one induction session. 

Please let us know which you plan to come along to.

Staff will be on hand to offer information and to answer any questions you may have. We will also offer tours of the family centre and other facilities we have access to in Isobel Mair School.

We hope your child is excited about coming but please do not worry about this. There are sometime anxieties on the child’s part, or indeed the parents and we are here to work through everything with you!

 

 

Shoe Bags

All children attending Isobel Mair Family Centre have previously been allocated a coloured shoe bag to co-ordinate with their key group colour. The number of bags have dwindled over time and we no longer have enough bags to go around.

Last year we replaced missing or damaged bags using nursery funds. The bags work out fairly expensive and as part of our efficiency savings we have decided it is no longer viable to replace bags year on year.

We are asking all parents to provide a bag for their child this year from the start of the new term.

Please ensure your child’s bag is named and all items inside are also named. The usual items should be accessible in the bag i.e. a change of clothing, soft shoes and wellington boots etc.

Your child will be allocated a numbered peg on their first day and should place the bag on the appropriate peg. We ask that parents take the bag home at the end of each session to free up space in the hallways.

Induction Event

Induction

On Wednesday 28th May we will be opening our doors for our annual induction event.

Staff will be on hand to meet and greet parent’s and carers of  children due to start in the Family Centre from August 2014 to February 2015. This induction event provides time to go meet the staff, go over paperwork and see the facilities available at IMS&FC.

If  any new parent’s are unable to come along to the induction on Wednesday 28th please contact the FC to make arrangements to pop in at another time. Please phone ahead as we are often outdoors in our grounds for learning.
