Coffee and Chat

All parent’s and carers are cordially invited to our next coffee and chat session!

This session will be hosted by Mrs Todd, Depute Head of Centre.

Mrs Todd will be available to discuss transitions to our feeder primary schools and any other topic you may wish to discuss.

Our coffee and chat sessions provide an opportunity for parent’s to contribute their ideas, comments and suggestions and we value your input.

I do hope you are able to come along….you will be made most welcome.

Scotland’s Big Laugh

Scotland’s Big Laugh

Scotland’s Big Laugh is an entire day dedicated to sharing and creating laughter. We will be marking this occasion on Monday 27th January by hosting a ‘Monday Mayhem’ day. The aim is to see and hear laughter spreading across the whole of Scotland.

The Big laugh is an ideal chance for everyone to get together, have some fun and get the giggles!

Laughter easily gets lost in our busy lives.  Yet it’s essential for keeping us healthy, helping with pain, and strengthening relationships.  See  Scotland’s Big Laugh Facebook Page for more informatin or follow on Twitter @Scotlbiglaugh

Taking part is easy, encourage your child to come along to their usual session at the Family Centre with ‘crazy hair’!! We will be face painting, playing games and telling jokes all day to help create laughter and let as many people know to help spread the cheer.

Please note: We are hosting our event on Monday 27th January and not on Friday 24th as we are celebrating Burns Day then!

IMFC Nativity DVD

We may have the opportunity to have our ‘It’s A Baby’ Nativity performance copied on to DVD for parent’s to purchase at a nominal cost.

If you would be keen to purchase a copy of the DVD, please speak to Mrs Quaile or Mrs Todd and we will note your interest. If you have any concerns in terms of the distribution of this DVD, again please speak to Mrs Quaile or Mrs Todd.

With this in mind, could I please remind parents of their responsibility in terms of using children’s photo’s etc. on social networking sites.

Many parent’s are happy to display photo’s of their own children on websites such as Facebook, however we ask that you respect other peoples’ privacy and only upload photo’s of your own child.

 Many Thanks.

Parent E-mail Bulletin

To further support our communication with parents and carers we are now sending out a weekly e-mail to all parents on our mailing list.

The e-mail provides parents with a breakdown of ‘What’s Happening’  for the week ahead. In addition, a section named ‘Here to Help Hints’ and another called ‘Talking Tips’ has been added.

We hope you find this useful.

If you have not received an e-mail, pop into the office to ensure your name is on the mailing list.
