This year Calderwood Lodge is working alongside UJIA to mark Mitzvah Day. The Pupil Council are collecting non-perishable food items to be used to make Welcome to Glasgow packs for asylum seekers. Goods collected in school will be given to the UJIA who alongside other community organisations will package the goods on Sunday 16th November at the Jewish Community Centre, 222 Fenwick Road. Parents and pupils can go along between 10 am and 12:30pm to help.
Parents can donate the following items to be brought to the school no later than Thursday 13th November:

Sugar
Cooking Oil
Rice
Pasta
Spaghetti
Instant Noodles
Instant Soup packets
Tins Of soup
Tins of Tuna
Chickpeas
Baked beans
Kidney beans
