Welcome to Bearsden Primary School’s website. We hope that you find it interesting and informative.
Bearsden Primary School is a traditional sandstone building in the centre of Bearsden, a small town to the north west of Glasgow.
The school was built in 1911 and is situated at Bearsden Cross. The school is non-denominational and co-educational and has 15 classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7. We are fortunate enough to have visiting specialists who teach music and P.E. to the children every week. Instrumental tuition is available for cello from Primary 4 and woodwind and violin from Primary 5 onwards.
In Bearsden Primary, we aim to provide a broad and balanced programme of learning in a stimulating and caring environment. Pupils are helped to become responsible citizens, confident individuals, successful learners and effective contributors to society. Great importance is attached to good manners, self reliance and developing a responsible, caring attitude. The individual needs of the child are catered for and equal opportunities offered to all.
