Bearsden Eco Topics 2017-18

At the meeting we decided that this year we will do the following topics at school:

We also made our new school Eco code which is:

A discussion was had about the use of the school bins and now in the canteen we are going to have bin monitors. The following children will be our monitors. All children in the school will learn how to recycle properly in the canteen.

News 6th October

  • On Monday 9th October Primary 6A Room 17 will be leading the Upper Assembly starting at 9.45am. Parents are welcome to come along and join us for the assembly. Their part will be at the beginning of the assembly and lasts approximately 10 minutes. Following this, you will leave the assembly along with the class and if you wish to, you can return to their classroom to look at their work.
  • Julie Vance Photography will be in school next week on Tuesday 10th October to take photos of anyone who was absent last week.
  • Our bake sale is on Wednesday 11th October to help raise funds for our Skills programme. We would appreciate any donations of home baking. One of the tables will be for ‘Fair Trade’ cakes. Please label your cakes if they have been baked using fair trade ingredients. Donations for the sale should be sent in that morning. Remember! We are a ‘nut free’ school.
  • We have a missing blazer from P4. The name Callum Perry is on a label inside. Can you please check your child’s blazer at home incase you have the wrong one.
  • Our Harvest church service takes place on Thursday 12th October @ 9.30am in Bearsden Cross Church. P3 will be leading the service. You are welcome to join us in church. Any donations for the EDC Foodbank should be brought into school and not to the church. No cash donations please.
  • School closes on Thursday 12th October at 3pm for the October holidays. Pupils return on Monday 23rd
