The Planets class loved our recent science experiment. We created Santa’s magic milk. We used milk, peppermint essence, glitter and liquid soap.

The Planets class loved creating Christmas themed baubles to take home. They chose a selection of sweets and chocolates to fill their clear Christmas baubles.

The Planets class worked together to help hang our Christmas decorations around the class. We helped decorate the Christmas tree with baubles and tinsel.
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Planets class loved writing their letter to Santa. We looked through the Smyths catalogue and chose some items that we wanted Santa to bring us for Christmas.
We also had great fun using shaving foam to make Santa beards!

The Planets class loved making salt dough tree decorations. We used Christmas themed cutters to make the salt dough into Christmas shapes.

The Planets class worked together to create snow cloud dough. We used cornflour, vegetable oil and glitter. We loved doing this and loved how realistic it felt to “normal” snow.

The Planets class enjoyed creating puffy paint using shaving foam and PVA glue. We used this to create puffy paint snowmen. We all loved doing this!

The Planets class enjoyed creating Christmas themed step by step drawings.
We had to focus on the SMARTboard, copy the lines that were drawn and this eventually created both a snowman and Santa Claus!
Winter is here so we decided to made a birdfeeder to put in the garden to feed the birds. We used cheerios and threaded them onto a long pipe cleaner. Some people were able to independently try this confidently, Some were holding the pipe cleaner and staff were supporting them to pull them along the pipe cleaner once on it.
As Christmas is approaching, we have been confident individuals and successful learners by participating in a variety of crafts and activities. We have loved making cards and wreathes. We have also been following the Christmas maze, taking part in Christmas bingo and making baubles.
Everyone has enjoyed Christmas sensory play by decorating a tree and playing with lights and tinsel.
