The Snowdrops have enjoyed pretend play learning all about what a baby needs. We thought about how we keep a baby clean and what a baby likes to eat or drink. Everyone was very enthusiastic about taking the baby for a walk or giving a cuddle.

The Snowdrops went to Tesco this week for our social outing. Everyone made confident choices of snack and enjoyed sitting in the café with their friends. In class, we have been looking at traditional Scottish foods and so had an ‘eye spy’ picture shopping list to find some foods in Tesco. We even found some small Scottish flags on the shelves which gave us a hint of where to find Scottish foods. The Snowdrops are looking forward to tasting some of our Scottish foods back in class.

What a wet, blustery day! The Snowdrops have been experiencing the sights, sounds and feelings of rain! Some of us enjoyed splashing in puddles and some liked the sound of the rain from underneath an umbrella.

The Snowdrops have been making snowmen biscuits to sell at the school market. Everyone made lots of great contributions, helping to cover the small round biscuits in white melted chocolate and then decorating the our bags to look like snowmen. We were able to make personal choices of colours and faces to put on our biscuits. They look great!

The Snowdrops have created a large Christmas bauble decoration to be displayed in our school atrium. We have made confident choices of different coloured textures – glittery colours were popular. Everyone demonstrated good fine motor skills, gluing and sticking lots of textures onto our bauble shape. We think it’s going to look very effective on the wall. Look out for it when you visit our Christmas market!
