Today we enjoyed taking part in lots of different activities to raise money for MacMillan.
We were confident individuals and decorated some cakes with our choice of sprinkles, were effective contributors and designed our own cupcake as a class, and enjoyed building a picture of a gingerbread man.

The Planets class enjoyed creating our very own ice cream in a bag. We decided to try and make red cola ice cream! We used double cream, red cola, ice, salt and zip lock bags for this experiment. It required a lot of patience while we waited on our mixture freezing and becoming firm.
We were very happy with our ice cream!!!

The Planets class thoroughly enjoyed today’s POLO Day (Power Off, Learn Outdoors). We had a teddy bear’s picnic and enjoyed tasting a range of picnic foods including dairylea lunchables, cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, finger rolls, frube yoghurts, cheese and grapes.
We also enjoyed a sensory art attack session where we spray painted an old bed sheet. We loved doing this and had lots of fun!

The Planets class enjoyed creating our very own seasides in bottles. We explored sand, shells and pebbles and chose our favourites to put inside our bottles. We found them very effective and are very keen to take them home.

The Planets class enjoyed creating jellyfish suncatchers. We used coloured tissue paper and clear seal to decorate the inside of our jellyfish. They are very effective on our window!

The Planets class really enjoyed creating our very own flip flops. We braved putting paint on our feet to make footprints. We all really enjoyed doing this and found it tickly!

The Planets class loved today’s special MOVE celebration day. We loved dressing up as superheroes and created Captain America’s shields.
We also played some games including using our Captain America shields as frisbees, we attempted to move kryptonite using garden canes and we played mission blast using balloons. We had lots of fun!

The Planets class enjoyed creating mirrors as part of our “Fairytales and Villains” IDL theme. We watched a short clip of Snow White and decided to try and replicate our very own mirrors and see who is the fairest of them all.
