****HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE: School Drop off / Pick up ***
Message to all parents/ carers and other school visitors – health and safety at pick up and drop off.
Drop off and pick up times at Stewarton Academy are very busy. Our local road network has limited parking for those waiting at pickup times and this can cause difficulty of access for residents and school users alike.
In order to ensure health, safety and wellbeing of all, please observe the following:

Zebra crossings – there are two zebra crossings outside Stewarton Academy – one before the roundabout at the car park entrance and one on the access road to Nether Robertland Early Childhood Centre. Please ensure the pedestrians are given right of way at these crossings. We have had reports of cars failing to stop for those waiting to cross so we are advising all users to be particularly careful at these locations.
- Residents’ car parks – there are a number of residents’ car parks around Stewarton Academy. These should not be used by parents waiting to pick up from the school as access for residents is required at all times. If on street parking is not available, please note that there is additional parking to the rear of the school which can be used by anyone waiting. Alternatively, we encourage all young people to undertake more exercise by agreeing a drop off and pick up location with parents/ carers beyond the residential areas in close proximity to the school.
- No parking/ waiting/ drop off on the roundabout – please ensure that the roundabout at the car park entrance is kept clear at all times. All users are reminded that there is a one-way system in use in the car park and that 5mph is the recommended speed limit for this area.
