Ministerial Visit

Justice Minister, Mr Yousaf MSP, visited Stewarton Academy today to watch ‘Balisong’,the new No Knives Better Lives play. Mr Yousaf watched the play along with S2 pupils. ‘Balisong’ is the new play for teenagers aimed at tackling knife crime. The play highlights that it is everyone’s responsibility to report concerns before devastating incidents occur. Mr Yousaf was joined by Councillor Cook, Councillor McMahon and Councillor Campbell from East Ayrshire Council. Mr McPhee, Depute Chief Executive of East Ayrshire council and Mrs McAulay-Griffiths, Head of Education, also watched the thought provoking performance.

A Scottish Athletics Permit event conducted under UK Athletics rules.

Car Parking, changing and registration all take place within the Academy Campus. Medals to all finishers, team and individual prizes plus spot prizes in all age group categories. Pupil, Teacher and Parent/Carer/Grandparent prizes in addition to house points awarded to all competitors, marshals and helpers. Parent Council sponsored trophy will be awarded to the winning House.
