We are keen to teach our pupils all about the ‘World of Work’ and are looking for support from parents to help with this.  If you are able to come in to school either the week beginning the 15th May or the week beginning 22nd May to speak to some of our classes about your work/role in the community it would be greatly appreciated.

We would like to offer you an opportunity to come into school to meet your child’s teacher and to hear some important information about the class. Please come along to school at the following times:

There will be tea/coffee available in the main hall during the day along with stalls from Bikers As Friends, Parent Council and other partners! This will give you the chance to meet with other parents/carers over a cuppa.  If you are unable to attend at these times you can come with your child to look around the school between 3pm and 6pm on this day.

🏅What a week for #OurOnthank as our young people and whole school community are recognised at the East Ayrshire Council #EANetZero celebration! 🏅 We are the only school in the authority to be awarded Bronze & Silver Awards for our work embedding the Clean Green Ayrshire ethos across our school community!

We also received the Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement towards Climate Change. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2023 we are #GoingForGold!!

The P7s are going to The Garage on Tuesday 28 June to play a game of 10 Pin Bowling and have a Disco / Lunch.

They will leave the school around 11.10 am and walk to The Garage.  Children should be picked up from The Garage between 2.30 pm – 2.45 pm however, if this time is unsuitable your child will walk back to school with staff.

The cost of this outing should be £10 per pupil.  The school will subsidise this by paying half making the amount to be paid £5.00 per pupil to be paid through ParentPay.

Does your child have a school uniform that they have outgrown? Then why not drop into our school swap shop and swap it for another!

Based at the school reception, our swap shop is a great way for parents to donate or swap any school uniforms, jackets, bags, etc.

If you have any school uniform items, jackets, bags you wish to donate then please hand these into the school office by Monday 27th June 2022. Any donations of new, unopened underwear and socks we also be welcome.

There is a great selection of school jumpers, cardigans, polo shirts, etc. already on display so come in and take your pick!

We are celebrating receiving our 6th Green Flag by having a

Green Eco Day on Thursday 16th June 2022.

We are asking you to wear something

green or a green accessory if possible. 

The Eco committee have organised some

activities- eg: water obstacle course, outside disco and time

trials.

Bring in your bike or scooter if you have one for the time trials.

P7 pupils and staff set off for Lockerbie Manor. They are away for a busy fun packed weekend. Trying to pack the bus for 66 pupils’ luggage was not an easy task. Thank you to parents who helped solve this. We hope everyone has a great time.😎
