Welcome to our homework support page. Here, we will give suggestions and pointers as to how you can support your child at home with learning that supplements regular weekly homework tasks.
E-Portfolios:
Every child in P4-7 has their own log-in to GLOW and can access their E-Portfolio from home. Here they record their targets, which shows what they are working towards in school each term. A Wider Achievement area will soon be accessible within this, where they can record, recognise and share achievements made out-with school too.
Reading:
Suggestions to encourage more reading at home for pleasure and enjoyment include:
- magazines
- comics
- newspapers
- library books
- articles on the internet related to their interests; eg. football, dance, dinosaurs, space etc.
- games or puzzles that involve reading text
- reading a story to younger siblings or other family members
- listening to stories being read to them through audio books or from family members
We have compiled a variety of useful websites that are good for reinforcing and enhancing your child’s learning at home. These have been split into curricular areas for ease of access for you below.
