IMPORTANT INFORMATION SESSION – Learning Journals

We use our Learning Journals as a way of reporting to parents throughout the year and we are wanting to make sure that every parent has the opportunity to access these.

Through observing the parental data on Learning Journals we are aware that not all parents are accessing this wonderful resource and we want to help everyone to do so, in order to keep you up to date with your child’s learning.

We are holding a drop in Parent Workshop on THURSDAY 19th JANUARY at 3pm in the gym hall. Childcare will be provided to allow parents to attend the drop in. Once you have collected your child at home time, please come to the Community Entrance.

Bring your questions and queries. We would love to help you!

If you would like to come along, please fill in the following form to let us know how many people are coming.

Do you require childcare during the session?(required)

Communication Friendly Schools – BSL Sign of the fortnight

We are on our journey to becoming a “Communication Friendly School.” Mrs Johnstone is our Communication Champion and she has her leadership group working along side her to develop this in our school.  We have lots to do to achieve this and need to cover aspects in 5 areas to be successful.

One way we want to become a Communication Friendly School is by introducing the use of British Sign Language (BSL) and encouraging everyone to use is appropriately. We will share our SIGN OF THE FORTNIGHT video which will show you how to do the signs.

This fortnight, we are introducing – thank you, well done and sorry.

Primary 1 – 6 Prize Giving Presentations

We are delighted to have been able to get back to some sort of normality this week and invite a small number of parents into the school to celebrate successes with our children.  Although it was only a small percentage of children who could be presented with an award, EVERY single pupil, in our school, shine in their own way and we are proud of every one of them.

Primary 1 – Primary 3 Prize Giving

Primary 4 – Primary 6 Prize Giving

Primary 7  will be showcased in due course – their special Prize Giving day is tomorrow!
