We will be holding a second Dress Down Day on Friday 13th June and are asking again for donations for our House Hampers. So any non-perishable items in the colours red, green, yellow or blue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your support

Unfortunately, the weather forecast for tomorrow is not good , which is disappointing after the long spell of great weather we have had recently. We are potentially looking at rescheduling to 20th June, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Primary 3 had a lovely afternoon on Thursday when Sr. Juliet came to visit us.
We have been learning about our local community and the groups within our community. We really enjoyed hearing Sr. Juliet tell us all about the many fantastic groups in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Primary 3 had very thoughtful questions and we enjoyed sharing some of our knowledge with Sr. Juliet.
The boys and girls even treated Sr. Juliet to a beautiful rendition of one of our favourite hymns, ‘As I Kneel Before you.’
Thank you for your visit, Sr. Juliet!

Congratulations to Mrs McCreadie who was the successful candidate at interview for the post of Acting Depute Head Teacher until June 2026.
A huge congratulations to Livia in Primary 3 who is the winner of our May raffle prize.
And a big thank you to our parents for your ongoing support with our raffles, whether this is buying tickets or donating prizes for the house hamper.
Thank you!

Unfortunately, this Wednesday will be the last session of our P5/6 after school Boys Football Club. We are aware that this club was intended to run until the end of term, however, due to unforeseen circumstances we have to cut this short.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Our very last Wider Achievement assembly of the session is on 20th June 2025. Lets make it the best yet!
Please help us celebrate the children’s achievements by sending in a photo and short sentence explaining what they have achieved. This can be anything from overcoming a fear, to participating in a show or moving up a belt in karate.
We love to hear what the pupils are participating in when not at school.
Send your photos and a short sentence to eamountcarmel.ps@eastayrshire.org.uk
I look forward to seeing them all!!
Thank you, Mrs McCreadie

The wait is finally over. The curiosity cube has arrived and is currently being set up in our playground for the children to explore. We can’t wait until tomorrow 💙
We have today sent out in children’s bags 70 letters to parents/carers of children who have yet to either pay for or return required permission forms or ALL of the above for our summer school trip.
Unfortunately due to the time involved in organising multiple forms to be sent out we will not be in the position to offer any more replacement forms, therefore if we do not receive payment and completed outstanding forms by the 30th May your child WILL NOT attend the trip and will have to stay at home on the day of the trip.
Texts messages have also been sent to parents/carers of the children who have been issued letters today.
Please see below a list of costumes each pupil is required to bring to school NO LATER THAN NEXT WEDNESDAY in a plastic bag clearly labelled with their name & class

Pupils in the chorus are asked to wear black trousers/leggings and a plain, bright coloured top. We do have spare tops in school if required.
Thank you,
Mrs Terras

After the success of last years House Hamper Raffle Our Friends and Parent Council have decided to organise this fundraising event again this year to help raise some funds for our children in Mount Carmel.
We will be holding another Dress Down Day on Friday 30th May and are asking that each child (if they can) bring in an item of their house colour for the raffle. For example if your child was in the red house (fire), they could bring in a tin of ready salted Pringles. If you could support us with this we would very much appreciate it. The tickets for the raffle will then be sold for £1 and we will have 4 winners, a winner for each of our houses.

Good Luck everyone!!
Rehearsals are in full swing, and the excitement is building! The cast and crew have been working incredibly hard, learning lines, perfecting songs and bringing scenes to life. Below is a sneak peek of some of the show highlights…

We still have a large number of outstanding payments and/or permission forms for our forthcoming school trip.
The final date for payment is 30th May which is next Friday.
Unfortunately, if payment has not been made by this date, your child/children will be unable to attend as we cannot then purchase a ticket for them .
If your child/children are not attending the trip, they will be unable to come into school on that day as there will be no teaching provision for them and will therefore have to stay at home.
Thank You
