P4 reflect on Our Lady

During the Month of May, our Primary 4 Missio Champions have been continuing on their journey to be friends of Jesus.

We have a beautiful May altar in our classroom and have been reflecting on the life of Our Lady as well as praying the rosary to help us deepen  our appreciation of Mary and learn how she can help us to become missionaries of God’s love too.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel pray for us.

Change of Day-Matilda Rehearsals

Rehearsal clipart - Clipground

Please note:

This week, Matilda rehearsals will take place after school on Wednesday instead of tomorrow. We appreciate this may clash with some pupils who attend the after school Multi-sports club, however, in this instance, the show takes priority and those pupils should attend rehearsals this week rather than sports club.

Only those pupils who have already been called for rehearsals this week  should attend.

Thank you and apologies for any inconvenience.

New PE Equipment🎾

Thank you to Friends of Mount Carmel who recently donated some new PE equipment to the school.

We received footballs, basketballs, shuttlecocks, tennis balls and tennis sets.

Primary 5 pupils were some of the first to sample some of the new equipment:

P4 First Holy Communion Preparation

Thank you to Fr. Jim and Sisters Mabel and Juliet for an interesting and fun morning in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

We really enjoyed learning all about the sacred vessels such as the chalice, paten, and ciborium used during Holy Mass, and we even had an opportunity to hold them.

We enjoyed listening to Fr. Jim explain importance of the Eucharist, and we talked lots about our upcoming First Communion Days.

Please keep us in your prayers as we take this beautiful step in our faith journey.

HOUSE HAMPER RAFFLE

As we near the end of our school year, we want to go out with a bang! Our Friends and Parent Council have organised a fundraising event to help raise some funds for our children in Mount Carmel. This will be in the form of a House hamper raffle.

We will be holding another Dress Down Day on Friday 31st May and are asking that each child (if they can) bring in an item of their house colour for the raffle. For example if your child was in the red house (fire), they could bring in a tin of ready salted Pringles.  If you could support us with this we would very much appreciate it. The tickets for the raffle will then be sold for £1 and we will have 4 winners, a winner for each of our houses.

Good Luck everyone!!

Dance Fest

We could not be more proud of our incredible P6 and P7 ‘Disco Divas’ who performed at The Gaiety Theatre in Ayr tonight as part of Dance Fest 24. They gave their all and most importantly had fun! Well done girls!  🤩👏🏻 🪩💙
