Our Sports Day will take place on Wednesday 4th June this year. Fingers crossed for good weather🤞. There will be more information to follow nearer the time. In the meantime, please have a look below at our timetable for the day. 

Please pray for our Primary 4 children as they prepare for their First Communion

Our  P6 Bikeability  initial bike check will take place in the school on  Monday 12th May.  Children will need to bring their bikes and helmets that day and the following dates below.

The bikeability sessions will then take place on:

Tuesday 20th May and Tuesday 12th June.

At this time of year we remember the first anniversary of the sad passing of our dear friend Father Martin, we continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers 

We would like  all our children and their families a wonderful Easter Break from all the staff at Mount Carmel Primary.  

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday 22nd April at 9am.

A letter has gone out today to all our P6 pupils containing information  about next year’s residential trip to Lockerbie Manor.

To secure a place for your child a £50 initial non-refundable deposit can now be paid through Parentpay. 

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

This deposit is due to be paid by Sunday 4th May this year.

Our Friends of Mount Carmel Easter Raffle is now closed!

The raffle will be drawn this Friday. Good Luck everyone!

A reminder that this Friday 4th April the school will close at 2.30pm for the Easter Break. Children who travel by taxi will be collected at 2pm.

Our winning House- Earth, had a fabulous time this morning at Jungle Madness.  All the children behaved wonderfully and enjoyed having their picture taken with Elmo!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fair last week, it was a huge success!

We took in over £800 in online purchases and as a result we now have over £400 worth of Scholastic rewards to spend on books for the school.

Next Friday the children in P3 will be watching Moana 2 , the movie. This film is rated PG. If you do not wish your child to watch this movie please contact the school office and let us know.

A reminder that tomorrow and Wednesday are our Pupil Progress Meetings.  If  you are unsure of your child’s appointment time please contact the school office. 

There will be no P5/6 boys football on Wednesday 26th due to this.

We are excited to let you know that we have just booked our whole school summer trip  to Heads of Ayr Farm Park!

The trip is booked for Wednesday 18th June . The buses will leave the school at 9.30am and the children will be back at school in time for normal school pick up at 3pm. 

If your child does not wish to attend the trip, they will need to stay at home on the day as there will be no provision for them in school.

We are very grateful to St. Vincent De Paul  who have made a very generous  donation towards our buses which has helped to keep the cost per child down.

We have set up the trip on Parentpay today with an initial NON- REFUNDABLE deposit of £8 payable by Friday 2nd May . This will leave only one more payment of £8 to be paid by Friday 30th May.

Permission forms will be sent home this week.  These must be returned no later than Friday 30th May.

Please do not return the slip or any money to the school. Both to be brought on the night. Please remember to complete the back of the ticket with collection information.

SCIAF Activities

A reminder that this tomorrow is World Book Day!

Children can come to school in their own clothes or dressed as a character from their favourite book. Each child will receive a World Book Day book token.

We are asking kindly for a £1 donation in cash to add to our SCIAF boxes.

Appointment times for the forthcoming Pupil Progress Meetings were sent home in school bags on Friday.  Please check your child’s bag for these.

If you are unsure of when your appointment is please contact the school office.

Primary 3 Share the Learning will take place on Monday 24th march at 2pm in school.

Letters were sent home last week with a tear off portion to indicate if parents/carers were able or unable to attend.
